I'm starting to work on some images for a new band, Surrender Dorothy. I would call them southern rock from the midwest. If you like the Supersuckers, you'd probably enjoy this.

A few ideas are starting to emerge. This ties in with my PIONEERS series of drawings--worn down wooden homes in vast expanses of flatness (vast expanses generally measuring 6" x 8"). Also this week my friend Sheila posted on her blog about this 100 Abandoned Houses project, by Kevin Bauman, which really is an amazing thing to look at.
I'm trying to develop the idea of nature taking over cities. It's apocalyptic sure, but in a kind of sweet and justified way.
