P-Bass-Man: Thorin

It's not that I want to make this P-Bass my annual project, but it's turning out that way. I decided to expand the project from sculpting a backplate to reshaping the neck. I've grown very used to the neck on my flattop bass, which is a bit narrower and what I would call more C-shaped than flat…

And while I'm at it, might as well make the headstock a little more unique. I am toying with the idea of shortening the scale (by setting the neck in further), but I'm currently resisting the urge.

the plan.

the beginning.
