"Do Work!"
—Christopher "Big Black" Boykin
In an effort to keep my Steppenwolf co-workers healthy I've quarantined myself at home today. Sleep seems to be the only cure for the common cold, but after zonking out from the moment I got home last night I'm feeling about functional. Even feeling like crap, it's hard for me to not get a few things done…
They say that doing the same thing and expecting a different result is the sign of insanity. I would argue that technology makes us all a little insane then. Por ejemplo: last month in an early attempt to start building a new website I plugged in my backup drive to no result. Early this morning I thought why not I'll plug this backup in and see what happens—it worked. My insanity paid off.
In looking through the decade's worth of projects I thought I lost I came across one that I never posted about. In July of 2013 I put together an album package for Voice of Addiction which included packaging for a 7" record, cd and a tour poster. At that moment (late summer 2013) I was pretty fixated on building my first fretless/acoustic bass and I was probably waiting for the VoA guys to release things before I spoiled it for them, but it seems that the project got lost in the shuffle. Here's a look back:
